Shagalinku.com has obtained the real votes received by each of the 10 governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, in last Thursday’s primaries in Oyo State.
A source close to the office of the party’s national organizing secretary, who didn’t want name mentioned told this newspaper that the winner and current lawmaker representing Oyo South senatorial district, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, scored 91,824 votes while his main challenger and immediate past power minister, Adebayo Adelabu received 7,532 votes.
Saying that the results of all the states would be made official from tomorrow, the source said that Abdulfatai Buhari, who currently represents Oyo north came third with 6,963 votes; Akeem Agbaje 1,475 votes; Rauf Remi Olaniyan 0992 votes; Adewale Kolapo Kareem, who had earlier stepped down for Alli, 0990; Hakeem Alao 0170; Ololade Usman Bakare 0015; Wasiu Ayobami Lam-Adesina 0010 while Muyiwa Gbadegesin 0007.
This result, exclusively shown shagalinku.com, is different from the various unverified tallies that have been shared online. In the unverified reports, Alli allegedly polled 578,143 votes, followed by Abdulfatai Buhari, senator representing Oyo north, with 37,265 votes, while Bayo Adelabu, former minister of power, secured 19,193 votes
Another source close to the office of the national secretary said it was not true, recalling that the total registered members of APC in Oyo State is 157,266. Out of the number, he said 109,978 members cast their votes at the governorship primaries.
This newspaper recalls that Wasiu Sadare, spokesman of the APC in the state had dismissed as fake the governorship primary election result currently circulating on social media and some news platforms.
Wasiu Sadare, the state publicity secretary of the party, described the widely shared figures as unauthorised and misleading.
